Elizabeth Windsor

 

Died on the 8th of September. After 96 years. I followed events via Twitter at work. A break in programing on the BBC.  Her family flying literally flying to her side in Balmoral. Black ties on the BBC. 

I came home, I went upstairs I rode my bike- I watched a You Tube video about Carthage. 

I came down and heard she had died. 

I had seen her once at the British Library. I think my mother saw her at work

The 20th century ended today
