Lammas

I was awoken by a call from my computer repairers. I was annoyed by this as I had asked them to e-mail me, and they had not. They called me instead why do people do this?
Anyway, I set off for them, with my computer in tow. They told me they would repair my computer in half an hour or so. In the old days I would have gone to the Spinning wheel for a pint. However I am teetotal until march, so I refrained.

I went and did some shopping. Purchasing lightbulbs that didn't fit. I got my hair cut. However I still had time. So I went to see Lamas park.

I used to hang round Lamas park in my early teens. I had no where else to go. Too young for pubs. It was a bit of a way from home, so away from prying eyes. Oh and there were tennis courts there. So I used to go and look at the girls playing tennis. Which I am sure put tens, of young players off. I didn't have the sense or guts to go and talk to one of the girls.

I also used to buy and read. Oh and just read, pornographic magazines there. I did wonder if there are a few 1990's copies of Mayfair or New Talent. A magazine which promised only the youngest and freshest models, lying about in the bushes.

I was once head butted there. By the leader of a gang of Youths. They missed. They hit my head rather than my nose.

I also saw, a girl I went to primary school with. Who I now realise, was a long away from class too.

Anyway this is the background to my youth. Oh and I was also stopped by a police man,  once leaving the place with a copy of Men Only in my breast pocket. He believing I was up to no good demanded to see what was in my jacket. I almost fainted. He laughed and sent me home.

Happy Birthday Michelle

French dreams

Last night.
I was dreaming I was in debate and conversation, with
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicolas_Sarkozy

I am not sure how it came about
The current President of France. Co Prince of Andorra. The discussion was held, in my old VI form common room in my old High school.
Along the many things I discussed, were the possibilty and benefits of moving CAP East and South, to bring the new members of the Union, up to speed. This did not go down well, with the French President.

Monsieur Sarkozy than walked back to the French Embassy. I asked did he not have a driver, he said there was no need. It was a nice day, and the Embassy was close enough

I was feeling pleased with myself, about securing face time, with one of the worlds most powerful politicans. Till my mother called me on my phone, and told me, the French premier had charged my Alma Mater for his time and security

I was chastened
Happy birthday

Birthday wishes to my youngest brother

What I saw

P230111_12.32

Some people have gnomes in their garden. This person decided to go a little better. I was shocked it was not all stolen. I was on my way to a football match today, and I saw this. So I took a snap. Thank you to the alternate gardener

To the young lady, with the pink streak in her hair.

I apologise again, for spilling Yazoo on your coat. I really hope it does not stain. You were very gracious about the matter. I wish you every happiness for the future

Yours sincerely

Malchera

Laughable Loves

My friend Kate suggested this to me. I would not have chosen it, the cover seems to be based on a chick lit paperback
Its a series of stories, written just before the Prague spring. Its a world, that has been forgotten and is  a shame. As this world should not be forgotten. The petty fallacies of one party rule. A young man trying to woo a pious lover. Is in danger of losing his position because the state frowns on religion. He is discovered leaving a church, and praying to a roadside shrine both are attempts to impress the pious Alice, both acts are noted and reported.
In a similar vein a Nurse who has a little too much to drink, and makes a mistake with her stove, could be removed to an asylum
There is a dig, at someone ordering vodka. Too Russian  A young couple are lead to a room with two single beds. This happens in the Tatra mountains which is now Slovakia
There is a mention of a Swedish girl stripping in Vienna. Which is surely anachronistic
A young editor, is described as being as nervous as a high school student facing the committee before his final exam.
There were no Etruscans in Bohemia.
Bohemians do not seek revenge with knives for the wrongs done to their parents. The thoughts of a girl who father lost his store to the revolution
One of the girls, whom the characters in a story flirt with sounds like she is underage.
It is a different world. However the failings of the actors up[on the stage of this world are universal. I saw myself in many of them.

127 hours

Whilst watching this film, I was reminded of an event in history. The Gunpowder revolution. Gunpowder was not just used for shooting people. It was also used for blasting, indeed my grandfather kept some for this purpose my father once had to hold up traffic on the road. So Grandad, could blast some rocks.
The natural world, is a senseless  thing
This review has spoilers
       SPOILERS
       SPOILERS
The plot is no secret. James Franco, goes Hiking, he gets his hand trapped, in an accident. With no mobile phone, and in the wilderness of Utah, the antagonist is alone with his
Franco does a good job in the movie. He has to hold up the film’s universe on his shoulders. His character is a likeable loner. He gets thrown off his bike, cycling across the desert and photographs himself knocked on his ass.
The Utah landscape is beautiful. There is a moment, where our hero is covered in light, as it moves along his cavern. The Caverns and craters were the home of the Hole in the wall gang. The heroes of one of my favourite films. Butch and Sundance.
In a sense this film is a western it is man, in an alien environment and he has to conquer it, he has to impose order on his new world so he can be settled
Indeed the first thing James Franco see’s after he is trapped is an airplane trail, he may has well has been looking at men on the moon. The Human world is distant. For most of the film the nearest companion the lead has is a Raven which flies past his prison every morning
The protagonist efforts to free himself, take up most of the film, and his hallucation’s as he deals with his isolation and confinement. He see’s the party he was invited to earlier by two female hikers he flirted and walked with, his childhood, his lost love.
In watching this film I  was reminded of how dangerous and helpless we are alone in the natural world. A hundred kilograms of rock traps our hero. How stupid those people who seek to return us to it are.
A singular performance by Franco.

They do not worship cola in South America

Malchera has been making this stupid joke, for about a month now. It is not funny, and I have been punished. Thus I have written it out 30 times in order, to make sure I don’t forget.

You can also see my hand writing. I used to have to write 100 lines when I was in detention

In school we had a prepared line

``punctuality is the politeness of princes’’

Why I didn't make a Christmas Video this year. Well I had the idea, of making it amongst the Glutwien and cheer of my Germanic winter trip.

I did not care for Vienna. I really didn't. I don't look well in that video either

2550 orders

2550 orders yesterday. The busiest day, I can remember, busier than at any point in 2010. There were more than a few staff orders in the mix too. We were short 1/5 of our total staff.  That number skewed early.
I slept like a baby, or Susanne, last night

I hope Katherina feels better

Happy Birthday to my friend Dorthe

Happy Eastern Chrismas, for the  6th
