The African Queen

 

I really liked this one. I can understand why the BBC used to show this on Sunday afternoons- It is a good old fashioned adventure story. Even a war film, and you can just enjoy the romance between Hepburn and Bogart. Most of this film is a two hander between the two 

I can see a lot of Katherine Hepburn- in Captain Janeway

I noticed that the Kasiermarine ship is crewed by Africans I didn't know the Germans did that

Bogart having terrible gas at his introduction is not something I think would be repeated

The horror of the mosquito or possibly the  testse is demonstrated well. Bogart talking about seeing cattle being driven insane by insects gives you a sense of the horror of the tropics.

Bogart seems to have the use of duct tape which surprised me.
