Salt

A decent thriller, in`` The Enemy of the State. The Fugitive, the Bourne trilogy'' mold
Angelina Jolie plays Ms. Salt. A CIA agent married to a German biologist. (Spiders) On a Friday afternoon at work, a Russian defector Orlov walks into the CIA HQ and declares an agent named Salt will shoot the president of Russia
Salt is a sleeper, part of an old Russian/Soviet plan. The terms are used indiscriminately in the movie.
The sleepers would wait till day X and then strike-There were apparently 100's waiting to strike if the balloon went up
Lee Harvey was a sleeper- Per the film
Angelina Jolie, plays her character largely sexlessly.
There is a scene of her in the beginning being tortured by North Koreans, she is in her underwear. In real life she would be naked.  No- that was not alluring. It could almost be a male lead. In fact at one point, Salt disguises herself as man. ( 2021- This film was originally a Tom Cruise vehicle)
The CIA need to get a flight from DC to NYC. No Helicopters at your disposal?
Orlov has a shoe knife, just like Lottie Lenya

(Rosa Klebb in from Russia with love to you)

The CIA, must be the last people in the world, who let you smoke in their offices.

So Angelina Jolie, shoots the Russian president. Her face isn’t all over the newspapers, all over the web, all over 24 hours news. She can walk around NYC, get on the Staten Island ferry, with no one noticing?
Also would not the NYPD transport Salt in an sealed truck, rather than a squad car?
The Episcopalian Church the American vice president is having his funeral at has a woman bishop. The scenes were filmed during the St Patrick's day Parade on 5th. So there are a few Irish tricolor's on display.

Andre Braugher, plays the secretary of Defense. He has put on weight. Well no one is as young as they were
The Russian premier, does not have his own security detail with him. Because Russians trust Americans 100%
Oh and a Russian fanatic, marries a German.
A Czech sleeper has a German name.
Nyet
Not a bad film, but not one I will remember next year. Angelina is always good, here she is not great

Wonderful observations, Rurri! I also think that the film wasn't brilliant and a the director should catch up a lot in terms of cultural differences, precision and authenticity.
