Avengers Assemble

Well I am sorry I missed this one in the cinema. It clashed with my trip to Peru. I did not want to see it in Spanish, in case I missed something. Its quite a ride. I am guessing you have seen it all by now, I saw in on DVD, so there are spoilers below

Firstly its very quotable. Its also the first Hollywood summer blockbuster that uses the c-word. Loki calls the Black widow, a mewling quim. As you would expect from Whedon.  You think I'm pretty when the Black widow is confronted with a band of Russian thugs. From what I could make out, the Russian was accurate there.

I am wondering, if this why Joss Whedon preferred to work with girls. The Avengers bickering, and beginning to square off to each other in the conference room, in which the centre is Dr Banner, I wonder if

Scarlett Johansson is lovely as the black widow. There is a great scene where she turns a taunt from Loki, 180 degrees

Was the woman, in the conference scene, who we could not see supposed to Chancellor Merkel?

Its good to see how Strong the Hulk is, this is something that you don't always get from superhero pictures. When we see the Hulk smash Loki flat, or the Hulk and Thor go head to head

I don't really have a lot of snark, or criticism. The plot threads from the other movies were tied up. Pepper pots, and the lovely Natalie. There was actual loss when one of the supporting actors was killed off.

I'd tell you to go and see it but you already have. Well, it was the right decision.
