Wormwood

 This was inspired by a post from the former podcaster, Trial of a Timelord

Basically a 70's TV series based on you, and your neighbourhood. Using your surname. I have tweaked this a bit 

Mine is Wormwood. 

Medical Doctor, goes to jail for a crime he does not commit. He get sent to Wormwood scrubs- Which is also his name. So this is to quote Mr. Partridge a regional detective series, like Bergerac or Shoestring 

Wormwood  does a bit of bird. His appeal comes through. We see him being released from the gaol, with the opening titles. He is however struck off by the British Medical Council. 

Possibly for giving someone an abortion? Euthanasia?  Something that would be controversial and more so in the 1970s.

Child abuse  Dr Wormwood, denounced someone for child abuse?

So he scrapes a living-Mediator? Doing something like P,I work?  He often works for a local villain as something close to a mob Doctor. 

Lots of 1970s issues. NF ?Immigration in Southall. IRA, Paedophilia. Mental health- Beginnings of care in the community. 

I think Wormwood, is RC-He's Polish or Maltese. Making him Irish changes things. Maybe English nominal convert father? Polish or Italian mother? Or Anglicized 

One episode, NF try pushing in on the local villain who turns out to be Jewish
