Trains, Planes and Automobiles
So just because it's 1980s doesn't mean I will enjoy it
This was okay. I am glad I have seen it. I don't think I will rewatch it
You could point out that the whole conceit of the film, hangs on the fact that an executive could not let a creative, go home an hour early
I note that Steve Martin wears a hat, and a lot of the NYC crowd does too
Oh Kevin Bacon is in this movie. Who is the Kevin Bacon, for today's audience
I know he is supposed to grow on you, but I found John Candy's character terrifying He drives irresponsibly, the scene where he is dancing to the mess arround horrified me.
There is a lot of smoking in public places including eateries.
I liked the scene where- Martin loses it, and swears at the car rental employee. It is actually odd to hear Martin swear.
I note today that walking over a runway causes an incident today
Public phones are still a thing, here
One scene I note. Candy sells shower rings, as a means of making a quick money- saying they are Czech ivory and to a bunch of tweens saying they make them look older.
Air Travel is no more fun today
I did like the train sequence. Seeing the heartland-made me nostalgic, but I suspect it was filmed in Canada
Not bad, but not for me
