The X Files. ``I want to believe''

Oh, how well do I remember. I was looking at an American magazine, in Hounslow  library, 15 years ago, or so.  I used to go there on Weekends, why? Not sure
There was an interview with a pop singer. Who described her favorite program, as the X files.
Then it started
Every Thursday, I used to watch it. I watched it, I thought about it, all week. I have the X files, file guide. I have the X files
I lived I breathed it. I taped each episode. I borrowed the videos, from my friend, I didn't have.  I had a picture, of Miss Anderson, on my wall. I had the edition of Sky Magazine, with Miss Anderson, sans her top, numerous fake nudes. I visited Washington.
Oh how I identified  with Mulder. The genius, misunderstood, by the world. I guess, there will always be a part of my Teenage years, which lasts 50 minutes, and ends. ``I made this''
Dancing to Cerys Matthews, singing ``Mulder and Scully'' in the GUU.
Everyone wanted a part of the X  Files . Jerry Springer, to Richard Belzar
Ah, life was I was going to say easier, it wasn't it, was more difficult. I had a lot more friends, and the bars livelier.
So we meet up with our heroes, several years after the events of the series finale. Dr Scully, has returned to her Medical duties, and Mulder, has become something of a recluse. He is technically on the run from the FBI.
Our heroes are contacted by the FBI, to investigate the kidnapping of an agent. Who has been abducted. There only lead, is a Father Joe. Whose visions lead the FBI to a bloody arm. Claiming Psychic visions, bring him to the place.
Mulder, makes a robust defense, of the man's actions, and gifts. Until he makes a crack about ``snuggling up, in bed and kissing his ass''
Oh Father Joe, is a convicted Pedophile.
(Father Joe, is played by Billy Connolly)
The scene of Mulder looking at President Bush, and raising an eyebrow. Then looking at the picture, of J Edgar Hoover, is a classic piece of Duchovy
The passage of time, is visible. The action is no longer Washington, but Richmond, and West Virginia. From the City center apartment, to a bungalow. There has been loss, Mulder's sister, and Scully's little girl. Scully wants to move on- she does not relish, the life, of an FBI agent.
As Mulder, as the film progresses does more and more.
There is a subplot, with Scully, who is trying to save the life of a very sick child. Tries some experimental medical procedures. Involving stem cells for a moment, one wonders, is this a problem, because it is an RC hospital.- 2021 edit Stem cells, how 2008
The series, was the first show I remember, that lived in the wired age. Mulder and Scully both had their cell phones. Their was an episode, with an Internet stalker. (2shy) I remember one of the Lone Gunmen, refusing to appear on a video conference. The film starts with a video conference, between Scully and another Doctor.
Mitch Pileggi's Walter Skinner,  is still working for the FBI.

I have seen better episodes. Clive Buckman final repose, named checked by the other FBI Agent, was one. I think the film was a bit too long- Frankly the story too depressing and bleak  There were some nice exchanges, but perhaps you should wait for the DVD.

We know you can you do better Chris Carter
