I have been looking for this song since UNC-CH in 1997/98. One of the local radio stations used to play it. I remember the vocals from 1.48 minutes in.

Dancing with myself

I heard this on  friday, while eating in a cebichera. Its an 80's classic. It oddly reminds me of my trips to Germany. Where I was alone-oops, I know what the song is about. I remember traveling alone on the Deuchesbahn, and on trams. Hiking down the Rhine. When I first came to Germany. I saw a sign offering train tickets to Danzing-Gdansk. So the song became, Danzing mit mienself...

A piece of 1980s nostalgia. I actually used to have to come into school, on Saturday. Once for fighting. A ``handbags'' affair which I was probably goaded into. Another time, for teasing the same unfortunate fellow. Who I hope is now prosperous and enjoying the affections of a pretty wife.

However for many of you, the concept of Saturday detention, would be known only through this 1980s piece. There was no Molly Ringwalds alas for me to woo, at that age.

I was reading emails, today of people who, I have forgotten, and some who I was pleased to remember. One girl, who wore a cowboy hat.

My sister got me this for Christmas 1993. I would have been in high school. Second or third year. My sister hates the song. I used to play it over and over.

I didn't realise the video was so sexual. The girl on girl action, was cut out from the versions that I saw. Its a classic power ballad. It's how I saw myself as a teen. An ugly freak, hiding from the light. I was quite shy, and had terrible self esteem. So the song's video struck a cord with me

I used to listen to it on my cheap off brand walkman. The B side, was an instrumental piece back into hell. I have not thought about the song for ages
