First the Mammoth in the room. The CGI De aging technology is not there yet.  It simply makes Deniro look like his character was filmed in black and white and then coloured later. Such as Jon Pertwee Doctor Who.

My ex-wife who seems to have watched this at some point has pointed out that Ana Papquin's character resembles my daughter. They are both somewhat terse

I thought Ray Romano acquitted himself well

Interesting to see a flash of something more interesting here. We see the Scorcese war movie that was never made. We have Deniro in Italy serving under Patton, possibly meeting LCN types. Surely what should have been made was a Netflix series an innocent American joining up, and getting made.

Al Pacino is messing about with inflections again as Hoffa.

Yeah it's the Clay character from JFK who is the fairy with the eyebrows


The jaunting car is very Irish. That was a nice touch

As I said there is an interesting story here. It was compressed into one long film rather than 10 episodes
