Image
I went to the Olympic Stadium to see the Chicago Cubs play the St Louis  Cardinals  I was really pleased because it means I have seen the NBA, NHL, and NFL live so now I have finally got the final fourth The London Series https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/baseball/66010587 West Ham's Olympic stadium is very nice  Seeing John Goodman who played the Babe Ruth lead the crowd in a few verses of take me out to the ball game Seeing lovely American Junk food- I had an attack of diverculitis - that morning. I could see French bread sticks filled with cheese-meatballs and such  There was a big crowd- I saw shirts from all over the USA and beyond  Baseball is more like a series of goalpost scrambles rather than a penalty shoot out. I had assumed most pitches would be struck into the park, but no  The Game was a great spectacle- BOOM plumes of smoke,  Beer, and Doughnut sellers moved through the stands selling their wares - As you see in US media A great day out

Belated Happy Fathers day

Round up

Congratulations of Celtic on the Treble Get well soon to my sister Manchester City won the FA cup final  I watched the best of Saint and Greavsie on ITV 4. There glory days of the early 80s 1: So interesting to see people like Andy Gray, Gordon Strachan, and Dennis Wise as young men. The late Ray Wilkins was referred to casually as Butch. There was a glimpse of Old Trafford before modernization instead of a megastore we saw a Nissan Hut repurposed as a gift store  There was John Barnes at the peak of youth - and Graham Taylor as a gym bro.  2: Greaves is in very good shape despite his age and his well known problems with alcohol. To be fair so is  Ian St John. - We see this when Greaves is training with Watford he manages to nutmeg them a few times. Then Greaves has to compete against John Barnes leaping over hurdles carrying weights. Obviously Barnes wins- but Greaves is not too far away despite 20 years of age and years of abuse of the bottle 3: There was lots of nice old school dr

Well due to my sister being poorly. I managed to snag a ticket Yeah I enjoyed it. It was a good night out. It is not for the young  It ends with a light and musical spectular  There was some chancy off hand gigs at Schofield Peter Kay is the greatest warm up man in the UK. I know he gets sthick for the who remembers chairs stuff. He even acknowledges that we don't text in the same way.  I liked how he was able to rework some of his catch phrases- I noticed Dr Who still gets a mention - Dalek Bread. He mentioned the SF convention circut- Also an amusing dig at Warrick Davies Firstly we were very high up. I had a decent view of the show though- I felt neervous about getting to and from the seat. I am mid 40s and I was not the oldest person there...There was a queue for the lavatory afterward 8 pounds- a pint  Secondly the 02 centre is a long way from the rest of London. It took about 30 minutes from our seat to our train.  I was wondering about the rights to singing the theme to To
