The Year 1892

The year 1892 opened upon a gloomy prospect,--a period of impending
strife and conflict in Europe. Everywhere discontent was manifest,
and people grew more and more restless under the government of kings
and princes. Nihilism, Socialism and Democracy honeycombed and
permeated every civilised community. The Russian government, as a last
resort to escape destruction, had granted autonomy to long-suffering
Poland; the Turks had retired to the Asian side of the Bosporus
whence they came;
and the Greeks, whose territory was now expanded to its ancient
domain, occupied Constantinople as their original capital, Byzantium.
Bosnia, Herzegovina, and Albania had been consolidated with Dalmatia as a Christian republic, called the Dalmatian league. Norway, separated from Sweden had become a republic.
The people of British North America had asked and received autonomy, and were now the Republic of Canada.
India taking fire from the example of Christian lands, became
restless and consequently England had sent large bodies of troops thither

A novel depicts a Hiberno-US-German victory over the UK. It foreshadows the T-191 series of Harry Turtledove.

The German and British  armies clashed over the low countries. As the British army pressed into the Rhineland. Besieging the city of Colonge. Laying waste to Frankfurt. The Germans, slip past the Royal Navy, to land, a force, in the West of Ireland.

The Irish Parliament, declared Independence. At the start of the war. Ireland, has obtained Home rule. At some point.
One curio is that the Irish field regiments from Londonderry, Which is odd to read. As well as Queens county. The Irish have not got round to renaming their counties.

Its the dreams of Old Boston, and NYC Look at the changes. Poland, Eire, and Croatia are free. The Greeks have retaken Constantine city. Even Canada is free.
